UK-Japan Education and Innovation links
In an effort to further strengthen ties between Japan and the UK, Logan met with Professor Irene Tracey, the Vice-Chancellor of Oxford University, during her visit to the East Asian economic powerhouse. She was accompanied by Liesl Elder, the Chief Development Officer.
Professor Tracey assumed the role of Vice-Chancellor on January 1, 2023. A Professor of Anaesthetic Neuroscience, she previously served as the Warden of Merton College, which is also her alma mater.
In recognition of her contributions to medical research, she was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 2022.
Since 2024, Logan has been serving as an advisor to an AI organisation based in Oxford, drawing upon his extensive experience in Global Affairs, particularly within the Asia Pacific region.
